There are so many ways you can help out the Saltpond Education Project. Whether it’s giving your time, expertise or money, any gesture is hugely appreciated, and your contribution will go directly to our students’ education and wellbeing.
Sponsor a child
For as little as £15 a month, you could help transform a child’s life. You can choose to sponsor one of the younger students who attend the SEP Happy Primary School, covering all of the costs of sending them to school, including their daily meals and health insurance. You’ll receive updates from us twice a year on the progress of the project in general and the students you have sponsored.
Alternatively, you can choose to sponsor one of our graduates. We’ve placed over fifty children into secondary education, all funded through the kindness of individual sponsors. This means that learning doesn’t stop with us; students have the opportunity to gain deeper knowledge and the required skills to secure work in the competitive Ghanaian job market, while also creating a new network and peer group.
Fundraise
We’re kept afloat not only by generous donations and a few grants, but by the tireless fundraising of our supporters. From cake sales to ultra-marathons, any event is hugely welcome in contributing to the running of our project.

Volunteer
Training and professional mentoring for our teachers in Ghana is a key focus for us, and we'd love to hear from education specialists who might want to help develop pedagogy and classroom practice.
